I created a simple yet effective effect which has given me some skills in After Effects that are transferrable to limitless projects.
Learning things is fun, developing new skills is A LOT of fun actually.
Just like with the show reel intro card I have used After Effects to create this fire on finger effect. the process isn't too bad, although it does become fiddley when going into the motion tracking element of it.
The process of creating such a thing is all about layers, patience and imagination, you could really make anything happen, we've all seen what time and preparation can create, Avatar, MCU films etc... Who use After Effects. So along side my deep dive into Premiere Pro, I'm doing a side dive, if you will, into After Effects. To make this process easier I would have added a simply black dot on my finger tip which would have helped a lot with motion tracking.
Going forward I will be using skills learned here to apply to story telling in the future whilst making things look cool.
